About the client

The client is a National Sports and Culture Centre based in Europe. Easily accessible from various locations, strategically located, and well-connected, this Sports and Cultural Centre has become a renowned reference both locally and internationally. Its success has been built over time, driven by the commitment of the authorities and the dynamism of the team.

The challenge

The acre security team has collaborated with a former client on smaller projects for several years. However, things took a turn when a larger electrical company acquired the company. This acquisition opened the doors to working on bigger projects and introduced the team to a new boss.

One of the ongoing discussions revolved around a new project with the Sports Center, which happens to be one of the largest health and cultural centers in the country. The center expressed its dissatisfaction with their current security system and sought a simple yet comprehensive solution that integrates various components and allows for seamless security management from a computer.

The main challenge was replacing the outdated access control system and initially removing the automated component. To address this, the acre security expert team conducted a demo with the end user. This led to the launch of a pilot project, starting with a test site for a single door. After a successful trial, the end user confirmed their decision to proceed with the acre security solution for the entire site, which involved securing around 500 doors over a period of three years.

The solution

To address the challenges, our expert security team took several steps. First, we offered a cost-effective solution that is easier to manage for the end customer compared to SiPass. We then followed it with a demonstration for one door as a test.

The end user validated the ACT Pro solution, leading to the order of about 500 doors and 55 ACU units. The technology deployed includes ACTpro software, Aperio wireless locks, ACTpro 1520/120, VR20, and VR50.

“The on-premises access control solution implemented by acre was a simplified solution with readers, which was highly appreciated! The technology deployed has made a significant difference in our daily operations. It's user-friendly and efficient, exceeding our expectations. We can't recommend it enough!”
–  Security Manager, National Sports and Culture Centre

The result

The implementation of the on-premises access control solution by acre brought about transformative results. This simplified solution, complete with readers, was widely appreciated by the end user.

The deployment of the VR20 technology marked a significant turning point in their daily operations. It was commended not only for its user-friendliness but also for its efficiency. Indeed, the solution went above and beyond the client's expectations. Notably, the client now strongly recommends this solution due to its substantial positive impact on their operations. This endorsement serves as a testament to the successful outcome of this project, showcasing the benefits and improvements achieved as a direct result of addressing the initial challenge.
